Four-star offensive tackle Blake Frazier of Austin (TX) Vandegrift High announced his commitment to Michigan Sunday afternoon.

The 6-foot-6, 270 pounder chose the Wolverines over LSU, Texas, and others.

Frazier on why he chose Michigan

“Obviously the connection to Michigan has been there my whole life but I truly never saw myself landing there as much as I did on my last visit. I’d say the way that culture is such an emphasis there was a huge part of it but also the people I’ve met that I’m going to play with. They’re all amazing people.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for Frazier

“My relationship with the coaching staff has been a huge thing for me since day one. They were my third offer and ever since then I’ve built relationships with everyone. I’d say my biggest relationships are Coach Moore and Albert Karschnia but I genuinely have a great relationship with almost every coach they have.”

What it means to carry on the Frazier legacy at Michigan

“You know, I tried really hard to leave that part of this situation out of it. But now that I know that Michigan is a place I love not only because of my Dad, it’s a really cool thing to be able to carry on the legacy.”
