WATCH: Hunter Dickinson drills buzzer beating three-pointer to force OT vs. Wisconsin
Hunter Dickinson just made one of the more impressive buzzer beaters of the 2022-2023 college basketball season on Sunday afternoon against the Wisconsin Badgers. With his team trailing by three points with 2.1 seconds left on the clock, he gathered the inbounds pass from NBA range, and drilled a three-pointer nothing but net, to make the score 68-68 going into overtime, much to the delight of the Michigan home crowd.
Check it out below.
Dickinson has been shooting 40 percent from beyond-the-arc this season for the Wolverines, incredibly rare for a big man. Rest assured, he hit a massive, massive shot to keep the Wolverines’ slim NCAA Tourney hopes alive on Sunday afternoon against the Wisconsin Badgers. On Feb. 25, ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi listed Michigan in the “Next Four Out” in his latest Bracketology Rankings.
He poured in 23 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out four assists in the win. Michigan ended up winning the game 87-79 in overtime, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Dickinson’s dagger from deep.
The Wolverines have now won three straight games when they desperately needed it, to at least push them in the conversation of the NCAA Tournament bubble. They currently sit at 17-12 overall and 11-7 in the Big Ten Conference.

Hunter Dickinson has carried the Wolverines all season long
Dickinson has carried the Wolverines all season long, so it’s only fitting their superstar center carried them yet again when they needed him to deliver the most. This season, he’s averaged 17.4 points (leads the team), 8.6 rebounds (leads the team), and 1.6 blocks (leads the team). He’s been one of the most dominant big men in America the past few seasons and luckily for Michigan, he once again showed up when they needed him the most.
Up next for the Wolverines, they’ll close out their regular season against the Illinois Fighting Illini (Mar. 2) and the Indiana Hoosiers (Mar. 5). We’ll see if they can make a late push into the 2023 NCAA Tournament, because they have pretty much zero room for error at this point.
