Hunter Dickinson evaluates the play of Michigan forward Tarris Reed
Despite a good game from Hunter Dickinson and a nice effort from Tarris Reed, Michigan came up short by a point in an upset bid against Indiana.
Following Michigan’s loss to Indiana, Hunter Dickinson praised Reed for his improved play as of late.
“He’s really starting to perform out there, really live up to his capabilities and his abilities out there,” Dickinson said.
“I thought he had a really good game, had some nice finishes out there, had a couple tough calls, and so, I mean, when you’re playing against a really good player it’s challenging. So, he had a couple of unfortunate whistles against him, but like I said when he’s been hitting his free throws, that’s really something that he’s been working on and so we’re going to expect a good amount from him because he’s a really good talent.”
This season, Reed is averaging 3.4 points, 3.4 rebounds.
“The sky’s the limit for him,” Dickinson continued. “Just keep working with him, just keep trying to improve and get better because we’re definitely gonna need him down the stretch.”

Hunter Dickinson on his feelings after losing to Indiana
After the loss to Indiana, Hunter Dickinson shared his feelings about the game and what it means for Michigan going forward.
“It is extremely unfortunate that we weren’t able to capitalize on this,” Dickinson said.
“This was a great opportunity for us. Great opportunity to build our resume. We need a lot of help in order to make the tournament. And this was a great opportunity that slipped through our fingers. But I feel like that’s the moral of the season so far: Just not capitalizing on those opportunities that we get. And it starts with me, as the captain on the team. We have to do better.”
