Michigan running back Hassan Haskins had a game to remember in a 42-27 downing of Ohio State, and Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh had a quote to remember to sum it up.

“They thought they saw a ghost,” Harbaugh said, per Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic. “They didn’t. It was No. 25 Hassan Haskins.”

Haskins had never posted more than two scores in a game in his career until Saturday. The senior running back had five rushing touchdowns on the day, bringing his total this season to 18. Entering Saturday, Michigan State’s Kenneth Walker III led the nation with 17 rushing scores.

The Wolverines closed out their regular season 11-1, and they are heading to the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis next weekend. If Wisconsin beats Minnesota today, they will face Michigan. If they lose, Iowa heads to Indianapolis.

Hutchinson: ‘Best moment of my life’

On the other side of the ball, defensive end Aidan Hutchinson had a career day as well.

Hutchinson had three sacks, which gave him Michigan’s single-season record with 13. He talked with FOX Sports’ Jenny Taft after the game and was doing his best to savor the victory.

“This is the best moment of my life,” Hutchinson told Taft with his mom standing over his shoulder. “I manifested it, I’m here with my family, with my teammates on this glorious day that we just beat Ohio State.”

Growing up in Plymouth, Mich., Hutchinson knows the magnitude of an Ohio State victory since he has watched it his whole life. Additionally, his father played football at Michigan and was a two-time captain, his mom went to Michigan, and his sisters currently go to Michigan. All of this makes it even more poetic that he played such a huge role in the victory.

“Man, we want this more than anyone in the country,” Hutchinson added. “I can tell you that right now… I’m kind of at a loss for words right now. This whole crowd is just unbelievable.”
