Ric Flair comments on Jim Harbaugh suspension: 'He's more man than all of you combined'
Earlier this week, Ric Flair was on campus at Michigan to visit Jim Harbaugh. He shared the news on social media afterward about his morning trip to Ann Arbor to spend time with the Wolverines head coach.
After the Big Ten announced it was suspending Harbaugh for three games on Friday, Flair again took to social media to call out the decision in a way only he can.

“I’m Actually Shocked At The Big Ten And NCAAs Treatment Of Coach @CoachJim4UM!” Flair wrote. “He’s More Man Than All Of You COMBINED! Take A Long Look At Yourself And Understand That The Team Will Stand Tall For Their Great Coach And Will Continue To Kick Ass! Go Blue! WOOOOO!”
Harbaugh and the Wolverines have been at the center of an NCAA investigation into alleged in-person scouting and sign-stealing rule violations for the last few weeks. However, pressure mounted against Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti to take action after meetings with conference coaches and athletic directors. Under the conference’s sportsmanship policy, Petitti had the power to hand down a punishment.
That came Friday to the tune of a suspension against Harbaugh for the final three games of the regular season. He can work with the players in practice and game preparation during the week, but cannot be on the sidelines, per the terms of the ban.

Michigan responded with a lengthy statement afterward and promised legal action, as was the expectation.
“Commissioner Petitti’s hasty action today suggests that this is more about reacting to pressure from other Conference members than a desire to apply the rules fairly and impartially,” the university said in a statement. “By taking this action at this hour, the Commissioner is personally inserting himself onto the sidelines and altering the level playing field that he is claiming to preserve. And, doing so on Veteran’s Day – a court holiday – to try to thwart the University from seeking immediate judicial relief is hardly a profile in impartiality.
“To ensure fairness in the process, we intend to seek a court order, together with Coach Harbaugh, preventing this disciplinary action from taking effect.”
The news came down as Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines were on their way to Happy Valley for Saturday’s game against Penn State. If the suspension holds, he will not be able to coach the game.
