Sherrone Moore compliments how Jim Harbaugh runs Michigan program
Michigan offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore saw first hand how Jim Harbaugh runs the program at a high level.
Moore had to fill in for Harbaugh five times this season due to suspensions. However, the OC has the utmost respect for his boss and definitely has his back.
If Moore were to ever take over Michigan or another program, he’d certainly run it like Harbaugh.
“Really it’s more fundamentally with the quarterbacks,” Moore said. “Doesn’t step in with the play calls, doesn’t step in with what we’re doing in the game plan. He might say, Let’s look at this, Let’s look at this.
“And obviously we’re always going to take a look at it because I mean his experience and his valued opinion on anybody that I’ve ever been around. So extremely phenomenal coach in all facets, knows the game inside and out. And whatever he says, we’re going to listen to. But he doesn’t really step in and try to adjust things that we’re doing.”
It’s fair to look at Harbaugh’s record and say that’s the way you want to run a program. He’s been successful at every stop of his career.
“Yeah, I think he does a great job of — the way he’s built this program, you could say that in every way, shape or form,” Moore said when asked if Harbaugh was more like a CEO. “And he’s done it in a great way and continues to build this in the right way and continues to put us in the position we are now.”
Harbaugh is 88-25 at Michigan since 2015, the longest coaching tenure of his career. He went 29-6 at San Diego and 29-21 at Stanford before going to the NFL.

While with the San Francisco 49ers, he went 44-19-1, making three NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl.
As far as Harbaugh’s future after the national title game, he simply said he hopes he has one, whatever that means.
“There’s a calendar, I’ll gladly talk about the future next week. I hope to have one. How about that? A future? I hope to have one. Yes. Thank you,” Harbaugh said, grinning at media day for the CFP finale.
Well, the Michigan leader hasn’t exactly been one to give a straight answer throughout his time in Ann Arbor. Just check out any of his post-game interviews. Nevertheless, you’ve got to give him credit for always keeping reporters on their toes.
