Jim Harbaugh visits Michigan OL commit Connor Jones
Monument (Colo.) Palmer Ridge three-star offensive tackle Connor Jones celebrated Michigan‘s 2021 Big Ten Championship victory in his hometown Saturday night.
On Sunday, the Maize-and-Blue commit was visited by three members of the Wolverines staff.
Less than 24 hours after leading Michigan to the top of the Big Ten for the first time since 2004, Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh, co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Sherrone Moore and running backs coach Mike Hart visited Jones at his home in Colorado.
Jones is the No. 1079 overall recruit in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The 6-foot-7 offensive tackle is one of two offensive line recruits in the 2022 Michigan class along with Canadian offensive tackle Alessandro Lorenzetti.
The Wolverines have the No. 15 class in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. The class is led by Grosse Pointe (Mich.) Grosse Pointe South five-star cornerback Will Johnson.

Those recruits will join a team next year that not only play in Michigan’s first-ever Big Ten Championship Game but will make its first-ever College Football Playoff appearance.
The Wolverines earned that opportunity throughout the season and emphatically capped off its resume with a 42-3 drubbing of Iowa in Indianapolis on Saturday night.
“It feels great,” Harbaugh told Fox after the game. “I didn’t know how much more we could pile on our guys for this game. Big Ten championship to put that banner up in our practice facility. Those guys get to stay in Schembechler Hall from now on, join the team pictures of the other 40-some Big Ten champions at Michigan.”
Connor Jones, like all Michigan fans, was ecstatic about the victory. He posted a video of himself Saturday night running down a suburban street with a Michigan flag to celebrate the win.
