Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School four-star quarterback Jadyn Davis returned to Michigan this weekend for an unofficial visit. The trip marks Davis’ fourth to Ann Arbor and first since Sept. 10.

Davis is the No. 16 overall prospect and No. 3 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in North Carolina.

“I love Michigan,” Davis told On3’s Chad Simmons in September. “I love everything about it. I love (head) coach (JimHarbaugh. My family does as well. It’s going to be fun to see a game atmosphere there. We love Michigan, along with other schools. They’re right there in the running with other schools that I love also. I’m definitely digging Michigan a lot.”

Last week, Wolverines co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Matt Weiss attended Davis’ game against Rabun Gap (Ga.) Rabun Gap-Nacoochee. Weiss’ presence was significant to the blue-chip signal-caller.

“It meant the world, they saw us in school and then they made the four-hour trip to come see us here,” Davis recently told On3’s Jeremy Johnson. “That means a lot. They’ve let me know that I’m the priority. They show a lot of love. I’m friends with a lot of players on the team.”

More on Davis’ recruitment

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Michigan has a commanding lead for Davis’ commitment at 62.5%. Tennessee has the next-best odds for his pledge at 12%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Davis has an On3 NIL Valuation of $158K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
