LOOK: Michigan wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy back at West Bloomfield (Mich.) High
Michigan faces in-state rival Michigan State tomorrow night. Before then, wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy decided to hit the recruiting trail.
Bellamy is attending the Friday night game between West Bloomfield (Mich.) and Detroit Cass Tech. The Michigan assistant served as West Bloomfield’s head coach for 11 years before joining Jim Harbaugh‘s staff.

While at West Bloomfield, Bellamy coached running back Donovan Edwards, who now plays for the Wolverines. Michigan currently has two commitments from West Bloomfield in four-star offensive lineman Amir Herring and three-star wide receiver Semaj Morgan.
Other in-state recruits pledged to Michigan are Dexter (Mich.) four-star running back Cole Cabana and Ann Arbor (Mich.) Huron kicker Adam Samaha. The Wolverines’ 2023 recruiting class is No. 25 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 4 in the Big Ten. Michigan’s highest-ranked commit is currently Colleyville (Texas) Covenant Christian Academy four-star defensive lineman Enow Etta, the No. 117 overall prospect in the 2023 On3 Consensus.
