3-star RB Micah Ka'apana commits to Michigan Wolverines
Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman four-star running back Micah Ka’apana has committed to the Michigan Wolverines.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound tail back is the No. 767 overall prospect and No. 63 running back in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Nevada.
Ka’apana isn’t ranked in the 2024 On300 but On3 ranks him as the No. 42 running back in the country and No. 2 player in Nevada according to the Industry Comparison.
The Wolverines extended Ka’apana an offer on April 21. He was on campus June 9 for an official visit.
“Our talks have been good,” Ka’apana told The Wolverine ahead of the visit. “Coach Hart has been showing nothing but love and it’s not just to me, but my parents as well. I think he’s a great coach. He’s very knowledgeable about the game and knows what it takes to be successful.”

Ka’apana is the second running back to commit during the 2024 recruiting cycle. Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller four-star running back Jordan Marshall announced his pledge to the Wolverines on March 21.
“Jordan reached out to me after I received the offer,” Ka’apana said of Marshall. “He speaks very highly of his future home and that’s something I really respect about him. With the offense that Michigan has, the one-two punch between us and our play styles could be something special.”
