Not many quarterbacks in the 2024 cycle are having a better season than Charlotte Providence Day four-star and Michigan commit Jadyn Davis.

One of the headlining pledges in the Wolverines’ class, Davis has given Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan staff plenty to be excited about on the gridiron as a senior. The 6-foot-0.5, 190-pounder has Providence Day off to a 6-0 start with an average margin of victory of 35.6 points.

In total, he’s thrown for 1,674 yards and 21 touchdowns and is yet to hurl an interception. He’s thrown for at least three scores in all six games this season and has a completion percentage of .784.

Davis is the No. 77 overall prospect and No. 7 QB in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked player in North Carolina.

“One of the times I vividly remember is me being in coach Harbaugh’s office and him telling me that the weight of the program’s on my shoulders,” Davis told On3 upon his commitment. “He’s putting the program in my hands, really, and I’m gonna be the face of that Wolverine program. I held that with a lot of weight, and also, he told me he was turning down commitments and things of that sort from other guys because he was waiting on me. I’m a big loyalty guy, big relationship guy. For a man to do that to very, very highly-rated, top quarterback recruits across the country, that says a lot.”

Davis has an On3 NIL Valuation of $380K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Jadyn Davis Scouting Summary

“Jadyn Davis is a developed, polished passer who is most comfortable as an in-structure distributor. Measured at around 6-foot-0.5, 195 pounds with a 9.25-inch hand prior to his senior season. Is relatively filled out with a developed lower body. Was touted as a top quarterback prospect very early in the recruiting process, earning offers in middle school. Turned in a strong junior season, leading a high-powered Providence Day offense to a state title in North Carolina’s private school league. Completed 72.5% of his passes for 3,425 yards (11.2 yards per attempt) and 43 touchdowns against six interceptions. Effectively distributed the ball to a group of skill players that included several Power 5 prospects. Makes good decisions and looks to have a good grip of the offense. Has solid arm strength when delivering from within the pocket.

Polished and refined as a ball handler and when working off of play action. Much more of an in-structure quarterback. Moves well within the pocket but does not make too many plays with his legs. Has a naturally longer release which limits his ability to consistently deliver from off-platform. Increasing his ability to make individual plays would raise his floor as a prospect given physical limitations relative to other blue-chip quarterback prospects.”
