College football is nearly upon is, and all eyes are now on the 2022 season. Michigan is looking to build off of a successful year in 2021 that included a 12-2 overall record, an 8-1 record against the Big Ten, and a conference championship. Now, ESPN has made predictions for every game on Michigan’s 2022 schedule.

ESPN uses its Football Power Index (FPI) tool to predict the outcome of every game, and its predictions show that another successful season could be on the way for Michigan.

After defeating Iowa in the Big Ten Championship last season by a whopping 42-3 score, Michigan earned the No. 2 seed in the College Football Playoff. The Wolverines were defeated by Georgia in the College Football Playoff Semifinal against Georgia, and the Bulldogs then went on to win a national title.

Now, Michigan hopes that ESPN’s predictions come true and that the Wolverines are able to go on a similar run in 2022.

If ESPN’s FPI predictions come true, Michigan will finish the 2022 campaign with a 11-1 regular season record with an 8-1 record against Big Ten opponents. That could set up an intriguing regular season finale between Michigan and Ohio State, as ESPN’s FPI tool has the Buckeyes as heavy favorites in that matchup right now.
