LOOK: Michigan football unveils commemorative necklace for 2022 upset win over Ohio State in Columbus
The Michigan Wolverines have defeated their bitter rivals, the Ohio State Buckeyes, in back-to-back seasons on the gridiron. And they won’t stop celebrating it. Quite frankly, you can’t blame them. Ohio State is annually one of the toughest college football teams in the country to face and Michigan took a beating from their rivals on the gridiron for nearly two decades, before finding their recent streak of dominance. To celebrate their win over Ohio State from the 2022 season, Michigan football unveiled a commemorative necklace.
Check it out below.
Anything that celebrates beating Ohio State is going to be look pretty amazing for Michigan fans. No question about it. Since 2000, Michigan has only defeated Ohio State five times on the football field. The agony of losing all those games from 2012-2019 certainly makes the Wolverines’ run the past two years taste even sweeter.
Michigan should be enjoying their most recent wins
Michigan fans might as well enjoy it while they’re on a hot streak, because you never know when the tables can turn in the other direction. They humiliated the Buckeyes in the trenches the past two seasons, just flat out manhandling them at the line of scrimmage. The Wolverines rolled up 252 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground in this year’s version of the game. Running back Donovan Edwards put on a spectacular performance with Blake Corum missing the game due to a knee injury.

Edwards shredded the Buckeye defense for 216 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, including an 86-yarder he took for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. The Wolverines pulled away in the fourth quarter to win 45-23, thanks to outscoring the Buckeyes 21-3 in the final period.
Michigan and Donovan Edwards will kick off their 2023 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 against the ECU Pirates.
