Michigan guard Durral Brooks enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Michigan guard Durral Brooks has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He confirmed the news on social media with a post thanking the Wolverines for making his time in Ann Arbor memorable.
“I’ve loved everything about @umichbball since I was in diapers and that feeling will never change,” Brooks posted on X. “It’s a special place and I appreciate my teammates, coaches, and every member of the maize n blue community who has supported my growth. Thank you all [prayer-hands emoji].”
During his time with Michigan this past season, Brooks saw action in 15 games. He averaged 0.8 points and 0.7 rebounds. He’ll be hoping to see more playing time wherever he ends up next season.
Durral Brooks played high school basketball at Catholic Central (Grand Rapids, MI), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 181 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

More on the Michigan Wolverines, NCAA Transfer Portal
Meanwhile, UAB’s Yaxel Lendeborg was the top-rated player in the entire portal. Now, he’s off the board and headed north to wear maize & blue next season
Lendeborg has committed to Michigan, per ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. He chose the Wolverines over other reported top options like Kentucky, Alabama, Auburn, and Ole Miss among other noted programs interested in adding him like Arkansas, BYU, Georgetown, and Memphis.
However, this is for if Lendeborg later pulls his name out of consideration for the 2025 NBA Draft. He declared for the draft at the same time that he entered the portal with projections having him as a second-round selection. Now, per Givony, he will go through the draft process in intending to find a guaranteed contract. If he withdraws, though, he will spend his final collegiate season with the Wolverines.
