Michigan leaps in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings with pair of commitments
Two big afternoon splashes propelled the Michigan Wolverines up six spots to No. 11 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings on Monday.
First, the Maize and Blue flipped Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange four-star safety Ivan Taylor away from Notre Dame. Taylor, the son of former NFL cornerback Ike Taylor, had been pledged to the Fighting Irish since December.
The 6-foot-0.5, 180-pounder is the No. 58 overall prospect and No. 6 safety in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 8 player in Florida.
An hour later, Michigan landed Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh four-star tight end Andrew Olesh. Olesh is the nation’s No. 67 overall prospect in the recently updated 2025 On300.
“It felt right,” Olesh told On3. “The deciding factor for me was the OV because I was there for three days and got closer with all the coaches. I got to talk to the players, which was another important thing to me. I spoke with the tight ends, including Colston, Max Bredeson and Marlin Klein. They feel like family, so I knew it was the right place when I was down there.”
