LOOK: Michigan linebacker coach George Helow pens farewell message to Wolverines' football program
Michigan linebackers coach George Helow and the University decided to mutually part ways on Thursday. His departure is just the latest in an offseason for the Wolverines’ football program which has seen turnover in the coaching staff. On Thursday evening, Helow penned an emotional farewell message to the Wolverine football program.
It reads: “Thank you Coach Harbaugh, Warde Manuel, the coaching staff and administration. I want to especially thank the players who made coming to work every day special! You are truly amazing young men. We accomplished great things together, making the CFP twice and winning back-to-back Big Ten titles. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the University of Michigan. These past two seasons have been an honor and an amazing experience, but it is time to explore new opportunities in my career. Thanks to everyone who supports Michigan. God bless and Go Blue!”

Partridge is no stranger to Michigan. The defensive coach worked at the school from 2015-19 under Jim Harbaugh.
Now, the two reunite in Ann Arbor. Partridge was replaced at Ole Miss by former Alabama defensive coordinator Pete Golding.
Partridge coached at Paramus Catholic (N.J.) from 2003-04 and then Lafayette in 2005. He also coached at The Citadel from 2006-07.
Partridge rejoined Paramus Catholic in 2010 as the head coach until after the 2014 season, when he joined Michigan.
Michigan went 13-1 last season and won the Big Ten for the second consecutive season. However, the Wolverines lost to TCU in the College Football Playoff Semifinals.
