Michigan offers 2024 4-star CB Desmond Ricks

Michigan has extended an offer to Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star cornerback Desmond Ricks out of Chesapeake, Va.

Ricks is considered one of the best players in the 2024 cycle.

Ricks currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $25,000. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

He is the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Desmond Ricks will form one of the best position duos in high school football next season

On3 does not rank high school sophomores but Ricks was one of just 18 players to receive a grade of 91 in On3’s 2024 watchlist, which was released in November.

Desmond Ricks, Ellis Robinson IV and Bryce West are the only three cornerbacks to receive grades of at least a 91.

Robinson and Ricks will both be suiting up for IMG Academy next season as Robinson will be transferring from New Rochelle (N.Y.) Iona Prep. Robinson, who also holds an offer from Michigan, is ranked No. 4 in the On3 Consensus.
