Michigan offers 4-star WR Johntay Cook II
Michigan has extended an offer to DeSoto (Texas) four-star wide receiver Johntay Cook II.
Cook is the No. 56 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
That makes him the 11th-best wideout in the class and ninth-best player from the state of Texas.
“I want that five-star ranking and being the No. 1 ranked receiver in the nation,” Cook told Inside Texas. “That’s really what I want. That’s why I work so hard, making all these plays. I feel like I’m the best in my class. I’m going to show it every chance I get.”
Cook has an On3 NIL Valuation of $59,000, which currently ranks 36th among high school football players. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
