Michigan offers 2025 No. 1 overall prospect Elijah Griffin
Savannah (Ga.) Savannah Christian Prep four-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffin received an offer from Michigan on Wednesday. He announced the news over social media.
Griffin is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He currently holds 25 offers.
The 6-foot-3.5, 270-pound defender has already visited multiple programs. They include Florida State, Georgia and South Carolina. Griffin told On3’s Chad Simmons on Oct. 9 that the Bulldogs are leading for his commitment.
“I love what Georgia is as a program and what their coaches do with their players,” Griffin said. “They are on them hard, they push them, and that is how a coach should be at a program like Georgia. I love it each time I am there and it is hard not to love what Georgia is and what Georgia is doing.”

Michigan currently has one commitment in its 2025 recruiting class. Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep four-star cornerback Chris Ewald chose the Wolverines on Dec. 16.
Griffin has an On3 NIL Valuation of $92K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
