Michigan Wolverines offensive lineman Andrew Gentry has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned.

Gentry played high school football at Columbine (CO), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 63 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

As a recruit, other top-notch programs like Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M were interested in the offensive lineman’s services. Time will tell where he ends up, but there might not be a shortage of interest for Andrew Gentry in the transfer portal.

Continuing, Michigan finished the season 7-5 with victories over rivals Michigan State and OSU, saving the best for last — a 13-10 win in Columbus. Just making a bowl game wasn’t the goal this year, but head coach Sherrone Moore said weeks ago it was critical for the development of the program and the younger players.

“I think it’s huge,” Moore stated. “It’s huge for the program, obviously playing another game, getting another chance to play with your team. but building on the future … getting more practices — it’s like another spring ball for the young guys.

“It’s more football for the guys that keep getting better at football, so it’s huge for us and huge for the program.”
