Michigan OL Raheem Anderson confirms taser was used during 'The Game' brawl
Michigan offensive lineman Raheem Anderson II revealed he had a taser pointed at him during the game ending brawl against Ohio State.
Following the flag planting, both teams scrummed at midfield, which eventually required police to disperse the players. In addition to pepper spray being used, Anderson confirmed there was a taser in his back.
You can see his reaction in a quote tweet of a screenshot below.
“Yes,” Anderson said. “The cop me ‘stop moving or you will be tased.’ I stopped moving.”
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office recently released body cam footage. And the footage, around three minutes of video taken from two cameras — the identifying number in the upper right corner changes mid-way through the video — depicts much of what was already seen from the TV copy: Pushing, shoving, occasional punches being thrown and a general crush of people as staffers and police tried to break up the melee.
That can be viewed HERE.
After Michigan’s win, Anderson and the Wolverines improved to 7-5 and clinched a spot in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Alabama.
However, Anderson announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal. Anderson has been in the program for four seasons, going through a ton of success with the Wolverines.

However, the time to move on has come, and Anderson will finish out his career elsewhere. Anderson has since released a statement on his decision, thanking a ton of people involved with Michigan.
“First and foremost I’d like to give the utmost gratitude to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for even putting me in this position and blessing me to be able to play the game of football,” Anderson said.
“I’d like to thank the University of Michigan for the best 4 years of my life and experiences that I can never forget. I also want to thank Coach Harbaugh, Coach Moore, Coach Herb, Coach Newsome, and the entire coaching for pouring into me lessons and teaching that will carry for life. To my teammates, that I now consider my brothers, I love you guys and am happy that I was able to call you family for these past four years. I am grateful that I was able to build bonds that will last a lifetime and look forward to seeing everyone succeed in life.
“Having graduated from the University of Michigan in May of 2024, three years after my enrollment, and completing my redshirt junior season, I have decided to enter my name into the transfer portal with one year left of eligibility.
“Forever Go Blue.”
