Report: Michigan running back Donovan Edwards out vs Maryland
Michigan will be without one of its top running backs when they host the Maryland Terrapins in the Big House at noon today. According to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, sophomore running back Donovan Edwards will miss the game vs. Maryland due to a leg injury.
Here was the full report, which Rittenberg tweeted:
“#Michigan backup running back Donovan Edwards (leg) is out again today, per source. Expected to return next week for Michigan’s Big Ten road opener at Iowa. Last played Week 2 against Colorado State.
So a second straight missed game with a leg injury for Edwards, who has 15 carries for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the year. A rotation piece for that potent Wolverine rushing attack. Shouldn’t be a huge loss for this game, but they’ll be glad to have him back next week.
