Michigan State legacy Kaden Strayhorn commits to Michigan
Over two dozen schools offered Kaden Strayhorn. His recruitment started early. The Michigan State legacy took visits, he built relationships, and while doing so, he identified one school that fit him best. That is Michigan. And he committed to the Wolverines on his official visit this weekend.
“The culture they have with the offensive line, and the success of that position there stands out about Michigan,” Strayhorn told On3. “Coach Sherrone Moore being the head coach is ideal too. He is the former OL coach and he has stayed consistent with me after getting that huge promotion.
“Coach Grant Newsome called the next day after Moore was named head coach to make sure I knew I was wanted. We have been doing zoom calls, he teaches me their stuff and I really love how I can talk ball with Coach Newsome. With Michigan, as an offensive lineman, it is just a great place to be.
“The coaches, the culture, how they recruited me and my feeling when there is big in how I feel about Michigan.”
The versatile offensive lineman out of IMG Academy has visited Ann Arbor around 10 times. That feeling was the same every time he was on campus.
“Everything has just been super-consistent with Michigan. Coach Newsome has been consistent. Coach Moore has been consistent. It is great every time I visit. I knew coming into this visit that I was going to Michigan because of the consistency.

“I am committing to this program and the people in this program. The relationships are great, they never changed with me and I am connected with the people. I love the atmosphere, the education Michigan offers and it is a great overall place for me.”
Michigan is where Strayhorn wants to be
His recruitment started early, but Strayhorn is done. He knows where he wants to be and he is ready to be part of the program that just won a national title.
“Michigan is where I want to be,” Strayhorn said. “Being a Michigan State legacy, I think this sends a beautiful message. I have great parents, they never pushed me to go to a specific school and I had great support.
“My dream was to go to Michigan State, play in the NFL and take over my dad’s broadcasting job. As I went through the recruiting process, I saw a lot and it opened my eyes to new things. Now, I love Michigan and I want to beat Ohio State and Michigan State every year.
“I get to play for coach Moore, a great guy, and for Michigan, a great program.”
