Michigan transfer RB Cole Cabana commits to Minnesota
Michigan transfer running back Cole Cabana has committed to Minnesota, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Sunday. The 6-0, 205 pound running back will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Cabana dealt with injuries the past few years and saw the field for very limited number of snaps. He finished his two-year Michigan career with just two career carries, both of those came during his freshman year. Cabana decided to stay in the Big Ten Conference.
Coming out of Dexter High School (Dexter, Michigan), he was rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 202 overall player in America, according to the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2023 cycle.
With Cabana, Kalel Mullings, and Donovan Edwards gone, Michigan will likely lean on Jordan Marshall, Ben Hall, and Micah Ka’apana moving forward. Unless they make more additions via the transfer portal.

Alabama is currently gearing up for the ReliaQuest Bowl against Michigan, which is set for Dec. 31. It’s a rematch of last year’s Rose Bowl Game, which the Wolverines won to advance to the national championship. It also turned out to be the final game of Saban’s legendary career before he announced his retirement.
Minnesota went 7-5 overall this season, ranking them 7th in the Big Ten. The Golden Gopher’s will be playing in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl against the Virginia Tech Hokies. The two teams will face off on Jan. 3rd at 6:30 PM EST. The game will be played in Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, home of the Carolina Panthers.
