Michigan trending for 4-star OT Bennett Warren
Sugar Land (Texas) Fort Bend Christian Academy four-star offensive tackle Bennett Warren picked up an offer from Michigan on Feb. 1. Since that offer, he’s taken two visits to Ann Arbor including an official on June 9.
Those two visits have seemingly played a huge role in Warren’s recruitment as the Wolverines now hold a commanding lead in his recruitment according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
Following recent industry updates, Michigan now holds an 80.9% chance to land Warren’s pledge.
The 6-foot-7.5, 330-pounder is the No. 170 overall prospect and No. 13 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 31 player in Texas.
Warren announced a top four of Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas A&M on June 8.
“It was an amazing environment with a great legacy with O lineman that is very intriguing,” Warren told Hayes Fawcett. “Being around Coach Moore definitely shows why that O line has been great in recent years.”
Ahead of his official visit, Warren spoke with On3’s EJ Holland regarding his excitement around the trip.
“Michigan showed me everything when I went there the first time,” Warren said. “I’m just trying to build better relationships with the commits. I also want to do the same with the players, so I can have a general understanding of what I’m getting into.”

Michigan recruiting on a roll so far in 2024 cycle
Jim Harbaugh and his staff have been on a roll when it comes to recruiting in the 2024 cycle following a lackluster 2023 cycle.
Michigan was able to put together a top-20 class in 2023 but the Wolverines are well ahead of that pace with this cycle’s class. The group holds 17 pledges and ranks as the No. 6 class in the country and No. 2 in the Big Ten.
Of those 17 pledges, 11 are ranked as four-star recruits and 12 are on the offensive side of the ball. The Wolverines have been recruiting well specifically on the offensive line as they hold six pledges already from offensive linemen.
Their offensive line pledges include Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst four-star offensive tackle Andrew Sprague, Austin (Texas) Vandegrift four-star offensive tackle Blake Frazier, Avon (Ohio) four-star interior offensive lineman Luke Hamilton, Ponte Vedra Beach (Fla.) Ponte Vedra three-star interior offensive lineman Jake Guarnera, Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward three-star offensive tackle Ben Roebuck and Frankfurt (Germany) Choate Rosemary Hall three-star interior offensive lineman Manuel Beigel.
