There seems to be a new internet rivalry brewing in college basketball, as the Michigan Wolverines are not happy with Texas Tech Red Raiders head coach Mark Adams. Center Hunter Dickinson was the first to call him out over the Terrence Shannon transfer situation and now, Juwan Howard’s son, Jace, has followed it up.

Jace Howard tweeted his displeasure with the way Adams handled the situation and although it’s already been deleted, Jeff Goodman was able to grab a screenshot.

“S/O to the people who hinder student-athletes from getting college degrees and who are unwilling to help them in the next step of their lives just for their own selfish agendas,” Howard said. “Real class act…”

Shannon ended up picking another Big Ten school as his transfer destination, with head coach Brad Underwood and the Illinois Fighting Illini winning out. Michigan was going after the Texas Tech transfer in a big way and according to a few of their players, Adams is to blame as to why Shannon is not in Ann Arbor.

Hunter Dickinson first to call out Mark Adams

Everything began to kick off on Friday afternoon, with Dickinson being the first to call out Adams over social media. He was a little bit more direct than Howard, calling the Texas Tech head coach a “coward.”

@CoachAdams_TTU is a coward,” Dickinson said. How are you going to deny a kid the chance to play where he wanted to go. Were you really under that much pressure by your boosters to not sign off on him to take summer classes there to be able to graduate even after he announced he’s not coming back?

“You should be ashamed of yourself for using your power over a kid to prevent him from going where he wanted to just because you wanted him to stay at your school. Recruits and their families know that if you go to TT and don’t like it you might not be able to go where you want.”

The tweets have since been deleted by Dickinson.
