As the Michigan look to keep their momentum rolling against a reeling Washington team, the Wolverines will debut a new uniform combination for tonight’s game vs. the Huskies.

In an Instagram video featuring saefty RJ Moten posted on the team’s account, Michigan revealed they’ll wear all blue for the game tonight.

“The forecast is calling for clear BLUE skies,” the caption read. “Go Blue.”

It’s the first time in the Jim Harbaugh era that Michigan will rock the all-blue set. Moreover, it’s only the second time in the program’s history as well.

Traditionally, Michigan hasn’t ventured far from the beaten path when it comes to their uniform combinations. Evidently, Saturday night is a rare occasion for the program.

Furthermore, the reigning Super Bowl MVP is a fan of the combination. After defeating the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night, former Michigan quarterback Tom Brady hit the post with a like.

As for Michigan fans, they’ll be wearing maize for the game, as the team has been pushing a maize-out for tonight. If Harbaugh’s team can stay hot, Michigan fans will be elated regardless of the uniforms.

Michigan’s preparation for Washington

Michigan plays Washington in primetime on Saturday night in one of the more intriguing Week 2 games. The matchup lost some of its shine when Washington lost to FCS opponent Montana last weekend, but the Wolverines are not overlooking the team from the ailing Pac-12 North.

“You can’t worry about what happened last week,” said Michigan safety Brad Hawkins. “It’s a new week. It’s college football. College football is full of surprises. You’ve just got to come out every week and give the team that you’re playing your best effort, your best game.

“We’re going to come out this week like any other week. Prepare every single week like we’re playing Ohio State. That’s how we’re going to go at it every single week.”

While Washington isn’t Ohio State, perhaps their new mindset will help Michigan maintain a high level of play.
