Report: Michigan WR Tyler Morris expected to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
Michigan Wolverines wide receiver Tyler Morris is expected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
“Michigan starting wide receiver Tyler Morris is expected to enter the transfer portal, a source tells @CBSSports/@247Sports,” Matt Zenitz posted on X. “Former top-100 recruit with 39 career catches.”
Moreover, Morris has been with the program for three seasons. All in all, he’s amassed 39 career catches, 470 receiving yards and three touchdowns. This past season was his best, as he produced 23 catches for 248 yards and two touchdowns.
Tyler Morris played high school football at Plainfield East (IL), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 157 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

As a recruit, Morris caught the attention of many big-brand schools, from Notre Dame to Penn State. It’ll be interesting to see if there’s still some interest there, or if he’s headed to an unexpected team after spending some time in the transfer portal.
