WATCH: Kevin Warren sends message to Mike Hart after sideline collapse
Michigan running back coach Mike Hart had a scary moment on Saturday against Indiana, collapsing on the sideline and being carted off the field. The news has been encouraging since then, being in stable condition and back home in Ann Arbor. While he is not yet back with the Wolverines, progress is being made by Hart.
Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren took some time during basketball Media Days to send a message out to Hart before introducing head coach Juwan Howard. He wished for a speedy recovery while also thanking Hart for the impact he’s had on student-athletes throughout the conference.

“Before I welcome the next head basketball coach to the podium, I’d like to take a moment and send special prayers to assistant football coach at the University of Michigan, Mike Hart, who had a medical condition this weekend,” Warren said.
“Coach Hart is back in Ann Arbor but I just want him to know that even if this is basketball media days we’re a Big Ten family, and that we’re all praying for him and wishing him a speedy recovery. And thank him for everything that he’s done as a student-athlete in the Big Ten and what he’s doing now to make his student-athletes special. So, Coach Hart, get well soon.”
