Sherrone Moore is of the opinion that the Michigan wide receiving corps will be fantastic in 2023.

Evidently, the Wolverines offensive coordinator believes quarterback JJ McCarthy will have plenty of places to throw the football next season. Moore elaborated on his though-process, believing Michigan’s wide receivers can go up against the best of the best in the country.

“They have potential to be as good as any group in the country,” explained the Wolverines offensive coordinator, via the MGoBlue Podcasts with Jon Jansen. “It’s just on the continual work habits that they have, and what they’ve been doing. CJ [Cornelius Johnson] had an outstanding spring. Fixed some things that we wanted him to fix. We put him in a couple different positions to see how he would manage, and he’s just a smart football player, savvy football player. Roman [Wilson] continues to be Roman. Fast, explosive, doing all the things he’s doing. And then exciting to get AJ [Henning] back.

“The other guy that showed up obviously in the spring in Peyton O’Leary, you know who really, really stood out, and he did that all spring. So excited to see him get his chances and roll, and just keep rolling with this group. The young receivers are super dynamic and exciting, so excited for the future of this group and where they are.”

Evidently, Moore believes that Michigan won’t just be fantastic at running the football in 2023. The Wolverines will be as dynamic an offense as any next season.

Alas, all the hype with the Michigan wide receiving corps has led On3’s JD PicKell to believe quarterback JJ McCarthy will be on a different level during the 2023 season. He’s of the thought group that there will a different set of chips on the player’s shoulders this fall.

“You see JJ McCarthy after that College Football Playoff game?” stated PicKell. “You see that look in his eye? Blake Corum running it back, Donovan Edwards. The pieces the have on defense. The weapons that are coming back for Michigan.”

Additionally, Jim Harbuagh is looking to prove a point too, especially after having a ton of rumors surrounding his future and the NFL. Because of that, PicKell is locking Michigan in for over 10.5 wins.

“You must not know what time it is in Ann Arbor,” PicKell said. “The khakis didn’t come back to Ann Arbor to lose two games. He didn’t turn down NFL conversations to come back to Ann Arbor and lose two games. So, we’re locking it in. Michigan over 10.5 wins on the season. Do they lose one? I don’t know but they’re not losing two.”
