3-star 2022 safety Damani Dent commits to Michigan
Jacksonville (Fla.) safety Damani Dent is headed to Michigan, he announced Monday morning. The three-star safety picked the Wolverines over reported offers from Oregon, Pittsburgh, Troy and a handful of others.
The 6-foot-190-pound Parker had originally scheduled his commitment for October 10, but announced on Sept. 23 that he would be pushing it back to Oct. 18.
Dent committed to Akron in April. But he re-opened his recruitment in August after attending a camp at Oregon and receiving an offer from the Ducks. That same day, he received an offer from Michigan, and he tripped out to Ann Arbor a little more than a month later.
As a junior last season at Terry Parker High, Dent notched 58 tackles and three interceptions. He also caught 17 passes for 321 yards and two touchdowns.
