Michigan special teams absolutely dominated the firs half in the Wolverines’ game vs. UCONN. The punt return unit annihilated the Husky kicker and blocked a punt earlier in the half. Then, with the second quarter winding down, UM’s AJ Henning returned the punt 61 yards to the house for a touchdown, which made it a 30-0 game after the extra point.
Here was Henning’s great special teams play:
Michigan got plays from both sides of their punt unit and were just dominant in every phase of the game in the first half. The offense scored seemingly at will, and the defense was rarely tested by UCONN, evidenced by a first-half shutout.
Wolverines rolling in Week 3. And on their way to a 3-0 start.
Blake Corum ties school record with fifth touchdown vs. UCONN
Michigan’s Week 3 game against UCONN was drama-free throughout. The Wolverines jumped on top early and bullied the Huskies throughout to win in dominating fashion. And no one enjoyed a bigger piece of the pie than Michigan running back Blake Corum.
The junior running back turned practically every touch he had into a touchdown. In a way, that was true. Corum only carried the ball 12 times in the first three quarters of the game, but on five of those carries, he found the end zone.

Here was his fifth, which tied the Michigan school record for the most rushing touchdowns in one game. With nearly a third of the game remaining, too! Wow. Check it out:
History made against UCONN for Michigan running back Blake Corum. And he’s not even done yet! In fact, he had the first five touchdowns of the game for Michigan. Unreal.
