The Michigan Wolverines are off to a hot start in the Big Ten Championship Game tonight against Iowa. Michigan running back Blake Corum just ripped off a 67-yard touchdown run against Iowa to put the Wolverines up 7-0 with 6:38 left in the first quarter.

Watch it below.

The 67-yard touchdown run ties the longest touchdown run of Corum’s career. The sophomore running back ripped off a 67-yarder one against Washington earlier this season.

You can watch that one below.

The 67-yard touchdown run tonight by Corum against Iowa was the first run of more than 30-yards allowed by the Hawkeye defense all season long.

Corum returned to the field for Michigan last week against Ohio State, after missing the better part of three games with a high ankle sprain. After that run, the ankle looks officially healthy.

The Wolverines’ rushing attack has been one of the best in college football for the 2021 season and tonight has been no different in Indianapolis.

Blake Corum and Hassan Haskins have teamed up to be one of the most unstoppable backfields in college football for the 2021 season. Haskins had 167 rushing yards and five touchdowns in the Wolverines‘ epic win over Ohio State, and now Corum is making plays for Michigan tonight.

Coming into the Big Ten Championship Game, Michigan had rushed for 2,699 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns on the ground. Their average of 224.9 rushing yards per game currently ranks them ninth in the nation in that category.

Heading into the Iowa game tonight, Corum had rushed for 865 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on 136 attempts. In the regular season, Haskins rushed for 1,232 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns on 244 attempts. Both running backs managed to average over five yards a carry this season.

If Michigan can win the game tonight, they will officially punch their tickets to the College Football Playoff.
