The 7-foot-1 Evans is the No. 38 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average. He ranks as the nation’s No. 4 center and the No. 8 senior recruit in California.
Dennis Evans Scouting Summary
“A lengthy post prospect whose calling card is his defensive presence. A high-level rim protector, he can change the complexion of a game. Evans is very skinny and does not move well, right now, laterally. Offensively, there are question marks about what he does or can do. While inconsistent, the lefty does have touch, with range off the catch that extends beyond the three-point arc. He will need to continue developing, but there are some rim protection tools.” – Jamie Shaw, On3 National Recruiting Analyst
