2024 ATH Simon Seidl commits to Minnesota
Hugo (Minn.) Hill Murray School athlete Simon Seidl committed to Minnesota on Saturday. He chose the Golden Gophers after receiving an offer from head coach P.J. Fleck and his staff today.
Seidl, who visited Minnesota on Thursday, is not ranked in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking or the 2024 On300. He is 6-foot-0 and 170 pounds.
“First of all, I would like to thank Coach Fleck, Coach (Nick) Monroe, and the entire Minnesota coaching staff for giving me a chance to play the game I love at the next level,” Seidl wrote in a message posted to Twitter. “I also want to thank Coach Reeves and all my high school coaches for helping me become not only a better football player, but a better man. Lastly, I would like to thank my family and friends for being there for me my whole life. With that being said, I would like to announce my commitment to the University of Minnesota.”

The Minnesota native is now the fifth member of the Golden Gophers’ 2024 recruiting class. The others are Gaylord (Mich.) Gaylord/voc. Bldg. three-star linebacker Brady Pretzlaff, Detroit Lakes (Minn.) Detroit Lakes Senior three-star linebacker Mason Carrier, Bogart (Ga.) Prince Avenue Christian School three-star quarterback Aaron Philo and Kankakee (Ill.) Bishop McNamara three-star running back Jaydon Wright.
