3-star WR TJ McWilliams commits to Minnesota Golden Gophers

Indianapolis (Ind.) North Central three-star wide receiver TJ McWilliams announced his commitment to Minnesota on Monday morning. His decision comes a day after he decommitted from Purdue.

McWilliams had been committed to Purdue since June 26.

McWilliams is the No. 1289 overall prospect and No. 195 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 17 player in Indiana.

With McWilliams’ commitment, the Golden Gophers have two high school receiver commitments in their 2023 class. He joins Pensacola (Fla.) Pine Forest three-star prospect Nuke Haye.

The Golden Gophers’ 2023 recruiting class now contains 19 commitments. It ranks No. 58 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 7 in the Big Ten.
