2023 CB Will James commits to Mississippi State

Theodore (Ala.) 2023 three-star cornerback Will James has committed to Mississippi State.

James chose the Bulldogs over offers from Indiana, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Memphis and more.

The 6-foot, 180-pounder is the No. 1476 overall recruit in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 128 cornerback and the No. 58 senior recruit in the state of Alabama.

On3 is much higher on him than other recruiting services though, as shown in the Industry Comparison. In the final 2023 rankings, James was tabbed as the country’s No. 75 cornerback and No. 33 prospect in the Yellowhammer State.
