3-star WR Justin Brown commits to Mississippi State
Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Blackman three-star wide receiver Justin Brown has announced his commitment to play for Mississippi State. The 6-foot-0, 185 pound wideout chose the Bulldogs over Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue and West Virginia.
Brown is the No. 505 overall prospect and No. 77 wide receiver in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 15 player in Tennessee. On3 rates him even higher as the No. 61 wide receiver and the No. 12 player in Tennessee.
Mississippi State’s 2023 recruiting class now has 14 commits and ranks No. 36 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. Bay Springs (Miss.) three-star athlete Ty Jones and Hattiesburg (Miss.) three-star linebacker Tabias Hinton are the only two Bulldogs pledges ranked ahead of Brown.
Brown is Mississippi State’s first commit of August. The Bulldogs had a successful July on the recruiting trail. They landed pledges from Hinton, Tupelo (Miss.) three-star offensive tackle Zay Alexander and Florence (Miss.) three-star athlete Zakari Tillman and Nashville (Tenn.) Franklin Road Academy three-star Joe Crocker and a junior college transfer in Southwest Mississippi Community College athlete Jacoby Bellazar.

He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $13.9k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
