Amani Larry hits walkoff home run for Mississippi State win over Texas A&M

Amani Larry let one fly and nailed a walkoff home run in a Mississippi State baseball win over Texas A&M Thursday night.
With the game tied 8-8 in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bulldogs earned a huge win over their SEC foe. A runner on third was good with two outs, but Larry skyed one deep into left field.
There was no doubt about it. Watch below to see Larry’s big home run.
It was the second home run of the night for Larry, wh hit one into left field back in the sixth inning to cut the lead 7-6.
Texas A&M opened up a7-2 lead in the fifth inning and it didn’t look good for Mississippi State. However, Larry continued the rally started by Slate Alford in the fifth inning.

Alford drove in three runs with a double to climb back in the ball game. Mississippi State eventually tied the game 7-7 before Texas A&M retook the lead 8-7 on a home run from Ryan Targac.
Dakota Jordan scored on a wild pitch in the ninth inning while Bryce Chance advanced to third on the play. That’s what set up Larry for the two-run shot to win the game.
The win improved Mississippi State to 27-24 on the season and 9-19 in the conference. Overall, it was a much needed boost for morale.
It was Game 1 of a three-game series to conclude the regular season in 2023.
