4-star running back Samuel Singleton offered by Mississippi State

Orange Park (Fla.) Fleming Island running back Samuel Singleton has been offered by Mississippi State, he announced Saturday on Twitter.

Singleton is the No. 138 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 6 running back and No. 23 junior prospect in the state of Florida.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder has amassed north of 25 offers, including ones from Michigan, Louisville, Boston College, Florida State, Cincinnati, and more. He has visited each of those five previously, including a recent trip in January to see the Bearcats and Cardinals.

As a junior, Singleton ran 148 times for 948 yards 6.4 yards a carry and nine touchdowns in nine games. He ran for 100 yards in six of nine games. In three seasons at Fleming Island, Singleton has run for 2,620 yards and 25 touchdowns in 29 games.

Samuel Singleton is the seventh running back Mississippi State has offered in the 2023 cycle. The Bulldogs didn’t take a single player at the position in the 2022 class.
