The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder committed to Louisville in June but backed off his pledge in September. In between, the Bulldogs extended an offer in late July.

Zavion Thomas joins a talented wide receiver group in the Bulldogs’ 2022 class. Mississippi State has three wideout commits already in the fold: Lucedale (Miss.) George County four-star Marquez Dortch, Horn Lake (Miss.) three-star Jarnorris Hopson and Hardin County (Tenn.) three-star Kaydin Pope.

With Thomas’ commitment, Mississippi State has the No. 27 class in the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings.
