3-star LB Fred Clark commits to Mississippi State
Winona (Miss.) Winona Secondary School three-star linebacker Fred Clark has committed to Mississippi State. Clark is a former Ole Miss pledge.
The 6-foot-2, 245-pounder is the No. 820 overall prospect and No. 87 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 25 player in Mississippi.
Clark is not ranked in the 2024 On300 but On3 ranks him as the No. 58 linebacker and No. 16 player in Mississippi.
Clark had been committed to Ole Miss since March 7 but announced that he had decommitted from the Rebels following a June 1 visit to Mississippi State.

“I am only 45 minutes away from the campus, so I am very familiar with things there,” Clark told On3’s Chad Simmons on March 2 about Mississippi State. “I know players, I go play basketball there and it is just a good feeling when I am there.”
