Iverson Molinar will keep his name in the 2022 NBA Draft and hire an agent, he announced via social media Monday night. The junior averaged 17.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game for the Mississippi State Bulldogs this season.

“To my teammates: We have competed through blood, sweat, and tears. You’ve pushed me to my limits to become a better player. We became brothers in the journey. I love you all,” he wrote. “Thanks to Coach Howland and the entire staff for the opportunity and support given. to me to represent the Bulldog family in the best way possible.

“… Also a special thank you to the entire Mississippi State University family and everyone in Starkville for all the love and support. With that being said, it is time for me to take the next step forward in my career. I have hired an agent and will be staying in the 2022 NBA Draft.”

After two seasons of leading the Bulldogs in scoring, Molinar improved his passing game, working toward his ultimate goal of playing in the NBA one day. He is expected to be a late first to early second round draft pick.

Mississippi State guard Shakeel Moore enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Shakeel Moore is back in the transfer portal, On3’s Jamie Shaw and Matt Zenitz have learned.

Moore, who played at Mississippi State this season, is in the portal for the second time in as many years. He arrived at Mississippi State after a year with NC State, and he became a starter with the Bulldogs. In 34 games, including 29 starts, he averaged 8.7 points and 3.0 rebounds to help Mississippi State to an 18-16 overall record and an 8-10 mark in SEC play.

Out of high school, Moore was a four-star recruit and a top-10 combo guard prospect in the nation from the Class of 2020, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
