LOOK: Mississippi State players Ty Cooper, John Lewis recreate viral Elijah Moore celebration in Egg Bowl troll
Mississippi State got its first win in the Egg Bowl since 2019. That year, the game ended on one of the most infamous moments in the series’ history. Ole Miss wide receiver Elijah Moore scored a touchdown at the end of the game. To celebrate, he pretended to use the bathroom like a dog, earning a 15-yard penalty. Ole Miss missed the extra point and lost the game because of it.
Following the 2022 win, two Mississippi State players decided to recreate that viral moment. Ty Cooper and John Lewis borrowed the Elijah Moore pose to celebrate in Ole Miss’ endzone.

“Me and my dawg been here and dreamed of this day. WE RUN THE SIP,” Lewis tweeted.
In the image that Lewis posted, both players are posing with the Egg Bowl Trophy while smoking cigars to celebrate the win. Both players are linebackers from the Class of 2021, so they would not have been on the team for Elijah Moore’s celebration.

Mississippi State coach trolls Ole Miss
Jon Sokoloff is a reporter in Mississippi who reported that Lane Kiffin would step down as the Ole Miss coach to become the Auburn head coach on Black Friday. However, Kiffin denied the report publicly. However, it was clear that the report was a distraction. Even with Kiffin denying the report, he had to meet with his team to continue the denials.
After the Egg Bowl, Mississippi State’s inside receivers coach, Drew Hollingshead, tweeted at Sokoloff directly, taking the opportunity to troll Ole Miss. “Where do you want your game ball sent to?” Hollingshead asked.
Now, Mississippi State just needs to follow up and actually send him a game ball.
