Former Louisville wide receiver Kevin Coleman has committed to Mississippi State, via the NCAA Transfer Portal.

In one season with the Cardinals, Coleman played in 14 games and helped Louisville to reach the ACC Championship Game in a massive turnaround season for the Cardinals under first-year head coach Jeff Brohm. Coleman had 26 receptions for 362 yards and two touchdowns. He also acted as a returner.

This was Coleman’s second stint in the transfer portal. He was previously recruited to Jackson State to play for Deion Sanders before he transferred to Louisville. He spent one season there and was the SWAC Freshman of the Year in 2022.

In that 2022 season, he had 32 receptions for 475 yards and three touchdowns. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Kevin Coleman played high school football at St. Mary’s (MO), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 71 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
