Former LSU offensive lineman Marlon Martinez has committed to Mississippi State, he announced on Tuesday.

Martinez is joining the Bulldogs after spending four seasons at LSU. He appeared in all 12 games this season.

During his time at LSU, Marlon Martinez appeared in 45 games, while making four starts. The Florida native signed with LSU as a four-star recruit and the No. 375 overall player in the country in the class of 2020, according to the On3 Industry rankings.

Martinez is a versatile offensive lineman who can play anywhere up front. He helped a Tigers offense that was one of the best in the nation this season.

LSU led the nation in scoring offense at 46.4 points per game, as well as in total offense at 547.8 yards per game.

Tigers quarterback Jayden Daniels had such an impressive year that he won the Heisman earlier this month. Daniels passed for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns, with four interceptions this season. He also rushed for 1,134 yards and four scores.

LSU is set to play in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Wisconsin on Jan. 1. Daniels and Martinez are among the LSU players who will not be playing in the game.
