Mike Leach describes the biggest challenge for road teams in the SEC
There are a lot of reasons why it’s easier to play a game at home than on the road. You’re more comfortable there, the crowd is on your side, and you are in your normal routine. That final point is, perhaps, most important to Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach, who says that the hardest part of playing a game on the road is being out of your routine.
During his weekly press conference, Mike Leach was asked what makes it so difficult to play a road game in the SEC.
“I think the biggest thing is the change of routine,” Mike Leach said. “I think that you know, I think it’s in a lot of cases no harder than you make it, but there is a change of routine.”

The next road game for Mississippi State is going to be a huge test. The Bulldogs are traveling to Alabama to take on the Crimson Tide.
Mike Leach praised Bryce Young
Mike Leach was asked about the Alabama offense during the press conference. He used it as an opportunity to praise the Crimson Tide and Bryce Young in particular.
“I think they’re good. They have quality players. Several guys are pretty explosive,” Mike Leach said. “I think [Bryce Young] is pretty good, he can help himself with his feet.”
