Wilkinson is the first prospect to commit to Chris Jans in the 2024 class. He is currently unranked nationally but is rated as a three-star recruit.

Wilkinson on his commitment to Mississippi State

“I chose Mississippi State because it’s a great program that is on the come up,” Wilkinson said to On3. “With coach (Chris) Jans coming in this year, the program is going to get better. They have a really good college town that is really into sports so I know that coming there we can turn the program up and get the fans behind us and try to get to the highest level possible.”

What type of player is Mississippi State getting in Jeremiah Wilkinson, in his own words?

“The program is getting a hard worker,” he says. “Somebody who is willing to come in and work hard and do whatever I can do to help the program win.”

Wilkinson has a message for State fans.

“Be ready! I’m gonna bring in a lot of excitement and hard work.”
