Mississippi State announced a seating change at Davis Wade Stadium which will help create more buzz in the stands as innovative options become available to fans on gameday. The school plans to unveil a new balcony level this season, providing a new look to the upper deck.

While the change will likely reduce the total seating capacity of the stadium, it also creates a new look and creates a fresh interest in watching the game from a unique perspective. Electrical outlets in each space will allow fans the opportunity to use refrigerators or fans from the space which features optional shading and a list of approved items allowed in.

“We’re so excited to provide our Mississippi State fanbase with a new, premium option,” said athletic director John Cohen. “The balconies at Davis Wade Stadium will provide groups of families and friends a unique football gameday opportunity featuring the mobility and socialization our fans enjoy so much.”

In total, 22 balconies will be added to the layout of Davis Wade Stadium, with 11 on each side of the west side upper deck. To have an opportunity to sit on one of these balconies, fans must make a $2,700 Bulldog Club donation and purchase at least eight season tickets valued at $225.
