Mississippi State just lost another player. On Wednesday, defensive back Jamari Brown entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Brown has bounced around throughout his collegiate career. He originally started out in Kentucky as a Wildcat, spending two years in the program. After the COVID-shortened 2020 season, he would enter the transfer portal for the first time, heading to the Big Ten as a Purdue Boilermaker. After two seasons at Purdue, Brown would hop into the transfer portal for a second time, making his way to Mississippi State. Unfortunately, with the Bulldogs, he was limited to just two games.

Overall, Brown has 40 college games under his belt, where he has recorded 74 total tackles, 61 solo, 4.5 for a loss, three interceptions, two sacks, and two fumble recoveries to his name.

Brown played high school football at Blanche Ely High in Pompano Beach, FL, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 834 overall recruit in the 2018 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
